A prehistoric monument, believed to have been constructed from 3000 BC to 2000 BC, Stonehenge is one of the Britain’s most recognizable cultural icons. The original reasons for its construction are a quandary widely debated and studied to this day. It most likely began as place used for burial.
The picturesque and ancient town of Bath, Somerset, was founded by the Romans in the 1st century AD. The Romans settled and built baths and a temple by the area’s natural hot springs, these sites have grown to become the heart of the town and amongst the most significant Roman remains north of the Alps. The town of Bath itself, with Georgian, Neo-classical architecture blending harmoniously with the Roman spa complex and temple is one of England’s most beautiful and fascinating cities.
